Program Description
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing is a cutting-edge degree program, which prepares students for a successful and global career in nursing practice. Providing a state-of-the-art mix of academic exposure in nursing theory and education and clinical exposure to the various settings of nursing practice, the program aims to provide students with the empirical and practical foundations of the nursing profession.
Program Educational Objectives
Aims to produce a fully functioning nurse who can perform the competencies based on the standards of the Philippines Qualifications Framework.
Develop professional nurse capable of providing safe, humane, quality, and holistic care.
Prepare students for higher studies in nursing, allied life science courses or medicine
Program Student Outcomes
A. Common to all baccalaureate programs in all types of institution
The graduates have the ability to:
Articulate the latest developments in their specific field of practice.
Effectively communicate orally and in writing using both English and Filipino languages

Work effectively and independently in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams.
Demonstrate professional, social, and ethical responsibility, especially in practicing intellectual property rights and sustainable development.
Preserve and promote "Filipino historical and cultural heritage" (based on RA No. 7722).
B. Common to Health Science and Matchematics Discipline
The graduates have the ability to:
Demonstrate broad and coherent knowledge and understanding in the core areas of physical and natural sciences.
Apply critical and problem-solving skills using the scientific method.
Interpret relevant scientific data and make judgments that include reflection on relevant scientific and ethical issues.
Carry out basic mathematical and statistical computations and use appropriate technologies in (a) the analysis of data; and (b) in pattern recognition, generalization, abstraction, critical analysis, and problem solving.
Communicate information, ideas problems and solutions, both, orally and in writing, to other scientists, decision makers and the public.
Relate science and mathematics to the other disciplines.
Design and perform safe and responsible techniques and procedures in laboratory or field practices.
Critically evaluate input from others.
Appreciate the limitations and implications of science in everyday life.

The graduates have the ability to:
Apply knowledge of physical, social, natural and health sciences, and humanities in the practice of nursing.
Provide safe, appropriate, and holistic care to individual, families, population group and community utilizing nursing process.
Apply guidelines and principle of evidence-based practices in the delivery of care.
Practice nursing in accordance with existing laws, legal, ethical, and moral principles.
Communicate effectively in speaking, writing, and presenting using culturally appropriate language.
Document to include reporting, up-to date client care accurately and comprehensively.
Work effectively in collaboration with inter-, intra-, and multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams.
Practice beginning management and leadership skills in the delivery of client care using a systems approach.
